The 5th Mellor Brook Fiddle Day
The day aims to encourage the passing on of traditional repertoire, skills and knowledge from England’s rich musical heritage and the focus this year will be on ‘playing for dancing’. 422’s Sophie Ball will be coaxing North East tunes out of the advanced group while Hinney Pawsey (Jez Lowe’s Bad Pennies) looks after the intermediates. Julian Taylor himself will supervise the beginners’ class.
Further details of daytime workshops on Julian’s website.
All workshop attendees will be given a concessionary entry fee (£5.00) for the Ceilidh later on in the day.
