Guitarist and singer Kris Drever hails from the Orkney Islands. His debut solo album ‘Black Water’ won him the Horizon Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2007. He was also an awards winner the following year with Lau, the band that Kris plays in with Aidan O’Rourke and Martin Green, winning ‘Best Group’ in 2008 and 2009. His anticipated second album, ‘Mark the Hard Earth’ is released on Navigator in Spring 2010. Kris will have a busy 2010, touring with Tim O’Brien, Lau and as part of Drever, McCusker & Womble.

Anna Massie was the winner of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2003 Award. A talented multi-instrumentalist, she plays the fiddle, mandolin and tenor banjo but is perhaps most impressive as a guitarist - equally at home either accompanying in her unique rhythmic style or flatpicking tunes.

Richard Moss has appeared at Mellor Brook twice before. He was special guest of Maerlock last year and for Hoover The Dog the year before. Further afield, he has shared the bill with guitar luminaries John Renbourn and the late Davey Graham
