Folk Award nominees for February's shindig at the Brewery Arts Centre, Stu & Debbie Hanna, aka Megson, seem to have exploded onto the folk scene in recent months. Surprisingly their current album TAKE YOURSELF A WIFE is their third since they originally teamed up in 2004. Hailing from Teesside, they deliver inspirational tales sung in delicate harmony. fRoots said of them: This is first rate - if you don’t like this music you have a problem! Megson are a couple of potential stars, peaches and cream harmonies, melodic roots consciousness and a huge sense of individuality.
Stu's talents as a producer have come to the fore having produced recent releases from Mawkin:Causley, Faustus and the latest release from Show of Hands Arrogance Ignorance and Greed
Dan Wilde is an acoustic guitarist and singer song-writer from Blackpool, currently putting the finishing touches to 'So Many Lights', his pending debut album.
