Community Centre Christmas Tree Donated by EVABEL

The Bell family have been donating the Christmas tree to the Mellor Brook Community Centre for many years, a tradition started in memory of their Father, Ernest who for a long time was a member of the Centre Committee.

Simon Bell, his son, will be cutting and delivering the tree on December 4th ready for all the seasonal celebrations taking place in the Centre.

Simon and his friend John Evans are now managing a successful local business called EVABEL. It is through this company that the tree will be delivered.

For those of you who enjoy a touch of history, the tree comes from a plantation begun in 1984, this year’s tree was planted in 1986.

For every tree sold, we now plant a further 3 so we, as well as our customers can be carbon positive. Trees grow at different rates and shapes (like people!!). It takes about 6 years to grow from planting to 5ft tall; some of the ones planted back in 1984 are still only 5ft high
.

EVABEL is now selling a range of Christmas trees, so to get yours in time for Xmas and to find out more about what else our company offers, please visit our web site at: www.evabel.co.uk

Merry Christmas to all of you and a happy New Year!!
